We had the same issue here: Node connections disappear randomly self-hosted
Our solution was to switch all the “Execute Workflow” nodes to Webhooks instead. Since it was impossible to diagnose or predict when the connections were going to disappear. We haven’t had a issue since switching to Webhooks.
