To extend the functionality of the existing Vonage node by adding a Vonage call operation. This would allow users to initiate and manage phone calls directly from the Vonage node without needing to set up additional integrations.
My use case:
Currently, the Vonage node only supports sending SMS, but there is no built-in option for initiating voice calls. For use cases where voice calls are required (e.g., for customer support or automated calling systems), this feature would make it much easier to manage voice communication within the same node.
I think it would be beneficial to add this because:
- It simplifies the workflow for users needing voice call capabilities.
- It consolidates communication operations (SMS and voice calls) into one node, making integration smoother and more user-friendly.
- It reduces the complexity of current setups where users need to rely on multiple nodes for voice-related tasks.
