Ai starter kit and n8n network issues

Hi All

I’ve just discovered this awesome platform (i know im late to the party) and i am trying to get to grips with the ai starter kit and llm models etc.

I am running ubuntu on a intel nuc, with casaos as a front end/ dashboard- to be honest it was largely a convinience thing as it stopped me having to learn docker in any more depth.

when i.follow the instructions on the github page for the ai starter kit- GitHub - n8n-io/self-hosted-ai-starter-kit: The Self-hosted AI Starter Kit is an open-source template that quickly sets up a local AI environment. Curated by n8n, it provides essential tools for creating secure, self-hosted AI workflows..

As i understand this installs the add on alongside n8n instance in docker however i have found that when i try to add a webhook to any flow the set up struggles to reach the internet.

The error is rather generic see screenshot- discord simply reports unspecified error

The AI nodes seem to work fine locally but other nodes seem unable to reach the network

This is strange because when i use the casaos app store version of n8n there is no problems with networking at all so my thinking is that its the ai n8n instance has has a config issue.

ive investigated as far as i can but cant find the exact issue with the kits n8n instance, that isnt present in the casaos version.

ive tried and failed to install the ai package into docker manually and am unsure how else to proceed.

The only thing i can think of as a work around is use a n8n from casaos to reach the internet, and point it to the nuc with the lm workflows on it but that not ideal even if it works.

i tried a http request (under chatgpt recemendations) and got an error pointing to a DNS issue

Im beyond my area of expertise here so any help getting this working would be great

Any help here would be amazing thank you in advance !
