Allow tag-filtered workflows to be displayed in a flat list across all folders

The idea is:

Allow tag-filtered workflows to be displayed in a flat list across all folders, not just within the currently selected folder. This would enable users to see all workflows associated with a tag, regardless of where they are organized in the folder structure.

My use case:

I use tags to group workflows by area, ai or function. However, since workflows are organized in different folders, filtering by tag only shows those in the current folder, which defeats the purpose of tagging for cross-folder organization. I’d like to filter by a tag and instantly see all relevant workflows in a single, flat list—similar to how global search works.

I think it would be beneficial to add this because:

It improves workflow discoverability and enhances the usability of tags. Right now, the folder-limited tag filtering adds unnecessary navigation and makes it harder to manage workflows grouped by tags. A flat view makes workflow management faster, especially in larger n8n setups.

Any resources to support this?

None required; this request is based on current UI behavior and expected functionality from tag systems in similar tools.

Are you willing to work on this?

I could yes.
