Hey everyone,

I wanted to share a project that I believe truly showcases the power of n8n for complex AI orchestration.

The Problem:
We all know that creating a deeply researched, long-form article can be a multi-day process. The outlining, the hours of research for each section, and the initial drafting is where most of the time is spent.

The Solution:
A System to Automate the Heavy Lifting I’ve built an n8n workflow designed to be a powerful “first draft” generator. It doesn’t just write text; it automates the entire research and structuring process, providing a solid foundation that you can then refine and add your own unique voice to.

Here’s a look at the workflow:

How It Works: The workflow functions like a team of AI agents, each with a specific job:

  1. The Strategist: Kicks things off by generating a detailed, logical table of contents from a single prompt.
  2. The Researcher: For each item in the TOC, it performs a live web search using Tavily to gather fresh, relevant information. This ensures the content is timely and fact-based.
  3. The Drafter: It then writes each section based only on the provided research, ensuring factual grounding. The output is clean HTML.
  4. The Archivist: As it works, it logs every piece of generated content to a Google Sheet, creating an organized database of your article.

The Goal: A Powerful Starting Point The objective here isn’t to create a “press-a-button-get-a-perfect-final-article” machine. Instead, it’s designed to handle the 90% of grunt work, delivering a comprehensive and well-structured manuscript. This frees you up to do the high-value work: editing, adding your personal insights, and infusing the piece with your unique style.

Here is a completely unedited sample generated by the workflow. It took just a few minutes to go from a simple prompt to this 16-page document, saving what would have been hours of research and writing.

This project has been a deep dive into prompt-chaining and AI orchestration, and n8n handled it beautifully.
