I made a small n8n starter for building invoice-generation workflows without choosing a PDF provider upfront.
It generates invoice HTML. To produce an actual PDF, you need to connect your own PDF provider or renderer.
The starter includes:
- An importable workflow with fictional sample invoice data
- Field mapping and basic subtotal, tax, and total calculations
- An editable HTML invoice layout
- A placeholder showing where to connect the PDF step
- A README explaining how to adapt the workflow

To try it, import workflow.json, run it manually, and inspect the generated HTML. No credentials are needed for that part.
This is a starting point, not an accounting system. The sample calculations and fields need adapting to your requirements.

Would you prefer this replaceable PDF step, or would a starter with one PDF provider already connected be more useful?
