Arrange existing Workflows in Projects

Hi there!
I noticed the new function for collecting workflows in projects. I have not found a way to move existing workflows in a project? How can I do this?

Thanks in advance for your help.

It looks like your topic is missing some important information. Could you provide the following if applicable.

  • n8n version:
  • Database (default: SQLite):
  • n8n EXECUTIONS_PROCESS setting (default: own, main):
  • Running n8n via (Docker, npm, n8n cloud, desktop app):

Hi @Mathias ,

Welcome to the community! :sparkles:

The feature to move workflows between projects was released on version 1.46.0.

You need, however, to be the owner of the workflow to move it and have admin role in the project you’re moving it into.

To move a workflow to/between projects you need to click on the menu at the far right side of the project and select Move;

After that you will be prompted to chose a project to move your workflow to:

And before the change is final you will need to confirm these details regarding the functionality of the project in a different context:

Hi @mariana-na ,

thank you for quick response. Okay, we are currently on version 1.45.1 (stable version). In this case, we will wait for this feature, which will be released in next version.

Have a nice day!

Trying to do this too - on the latest version. Is this feature not available in the free self hosted version? Can’t find a way to create a new project!

Seems to be a paid only feature - seems madness to paywall this!!!

One of the most upvoted community feature is now behind paywall.

I want to laugh and cry at the same time.
