The Assistant node does not list all the assistants that we have. I think that the error is that it only retrieves the last 20 assistants created.
It is unfortunately not possible to add an assistant by entering its id, or at least I couldn’t make it work.
How can I solve this?
It looks like your topic is missing some important information. Could you provide the following if applicable.
- n8n version:
- Database (default: SQLite):
- n8n EXECUTIONS_PROCESS setting (default: own, main):
- Running n8n via (Docker, npm, n8n cloud, desktop app):
- Operating system:
Hi @Lester_Reynolds, welcome to the community!
I am very sorry for the trouble. It appears the node doesn’t let you specify the assistant ID manually, making this extra tricky.
@oleg is there a chance pagination logic is missing from the loadOptions for this field? Perhaps we can allow users to manually override this value?
Also allowing Tthe field to be set dynamically would be super useful
How can I add memory buffer to Assistants API?
You can’t at the moment as far as I know.
I hope that the next assistant node version will allow us to manager threads
Is this fix on the roadmap?
Hi @Lester_Reynolds, I am not aware of such a fix coming in unfortunately. @oleg will be back next week though, so can hopefully share some more details on this from the actual engineering team working on this
Or at least allowing the assistant ID to be passed dynamically would be super useful
Starting to really need this assistant dynamic ID feature
