Backing up wordpress sites with n8n

I’m studying a way of backing up my wordpress sites with n8n.

Has anyone tried to create something similar? Which nodes did you use?

It looks like your topic is missing some important information. Could you provide the following if applicable.

  • n8n version:
  • Database (default: SQLite):
  • n8n EXECUTIONS_PROCESS setting (default: own, main):
  • Running n8n via (Docker, npm, n8n cloud, desktop app):
  • Operating system:

Hey @denverfix,

I think you could use the Wordpress API to get the content to save somewhere but I suspect it would lose some of the options set that could be plugin or theme specific. If it was me I would use one of the existing plugins in Wordpress that saves everything to a cloud provider of choice, If I really did want to use n8n though I would probably save the data in the database and use the ftp node to make a backup of the files.

Hi @jon, thanks for your reply.

My idea was to use n8n for my clients to create backups via a command in a form.

In addition to being interesting, this would generate extra income for me with manual or automatic backups without the need for a plugin.
