BUG: Create New Credential with 2 credentials

I have a custom node that involves 2 different credentials, a built-in, and a custom credential.

The credential fields work fine, but the 2nd ‘Create New Credential’ function only launches the new credential wizard for the 1st listed credential. I’ve tried swapping them and the pattern is consistent, creating a new credential in the node context only launches a wizard for the first listed credential.

I found one other similar question, and someone commented that this seems to have broken with a past update, but the thread was closed in 2023 without any further comments. Thank you!

  • n8n version: 1.99.1
  • Database (default: SQLite):
  • n8n EXECUTIONS_PROCESS setting (default: own, main):
  • Running n8n via (Docker, npm, n8n cloud, desktop app): npm
  • Operating system: Ubuntu 24
