Cannot get npm version to run locally

Looking to contribute to this repo (super cool project BTW) but I can’t seem to get it working. I’ve followed the instructions on this link. Every time I run the following commands it errors out each time:

git clone https://github.com/n8n-io/n8n.git
cd n8n
lerna bootstrap --hoist
npm run build
npm run start

I get the following errors:

error TS2688: Cannot find type definition file for 'jest'.
npm WARN Local package.json exists, but node_modules missing, did you mean to install?
error TS2688: Cannot find type definition file for 'node'
Failed at the n8n-node-dev@0.5.0 build script.

I’ve installed typescript and all to no avail. Can anyone assist?

Hm can understand the problem with jest after I checked n8n-node-dev. I removed jest from there as it did not get used anyway. So you can pull and build again to see if that fixes that. Do honestly not understand the issue with node at all. What node.js version are you using and what OS?
