Cannot log in to n8n / Password reset not working (Hostinger)

■ Current Issue

  • n8n was installed via Hostinger, most likely on a VPS (self-hosted environment).
  • Cannot log in via the browser — even when entering the correct password, it says the credentials are invalid.
  • When clicking “Forgot Password”, the following error appears:

“Please contact your administrator. n8n is currently not configured to send emails.”

■ Blockers

  • Login is not possible.
  • Password cannot be reset because SMTP is not configured.
  • Nothing can be done via the browser — the interface is completely unusable.
