Changing the billing for n8n cloud instance

Hello, I have an org and instance on n8n cloud. I’m the owner. I’m expanding it to others on my team and want to put the billing on a company card. I added our Finance person as an n8n Admin. But she does not see access to the Admin portal where she would change the payment method.

How can I promote her to Owner, or otherwise enable her to change the payment method for this org?

Appreciate any help.

This is a limitation for users in n8n Cloud who are not the admins, as only admin users can have access to the admin dashboard, where they could change the billing settings.

The best thing to do is just change the ownership of the instance:

And there is no way you can promote another user to have rights to access the admin dashboard other than changing the ownership.

Changing ownership would be a bit painful. It sounds like I’d be giving up my account (tied to my email). And I have workflows already under my account that I don’t want to lose.

This administrative usability may be something n8n cloud consider improving in the future, IMHO.

@bcasteel, I think you can export your workflows from the admin dashboard if you have access. See this:

And changing ownership is quite easy, but if you don’t want it, just create a new account with that new email.
