Cloud node upgrade

Hi all,

n8n: cloud instance

Version:1.112.5

Attempting to setup and configure retry on fail on a node and noticed the below message:

Recorded Future node version 4.2 (Latest version: -Infinity)

This seems great, because currently max. tries is only 5. My question is how do I upgrade this node, or do I need to wait until released?

Online tutorial says:If you’re using n8n Cloud:

  • Updates are handled automatically by the n8n team

  • You’ll receive notifications about major updates

  • No action is required on your part

Thanks in advance!

Hey, @gwamm hope all is good.

I don’t think this is what you think this is. I think this -Infinity could be a UI bug, but whichever number is supposed to be there is it not for how many retries are going to be attempted, but a node version itself.

Could you show a screenshot of that?

Hey Jabbson,

Thank you for the fast reply!

Screenshot below:

Yeah, this appears to be a glitch with the node version displaying in the UI, the -Infinity here does not refer to the number of tries. Tries are maxed at 5.

Thank you for your reply Jabbson.

Really helpful, and 100% answers my question. Do you think it could be a feature request added to increase wait between, or max tries?

I think when the number 5 came to be, there must have been a reason for that.
You can totally request larger numbers though, totally valid FR.

Cheers.
