Connection lost repeatedly + email trigger MAP waiting for you to receive an email

Describe the problem/error/question

Hi, I’m new to N8N, and try to replicate the : A Very Simple "Human in the Loop" Email Response System Using AI and IMAP | n8n workflow template

I’m using browser google chrome, so not self hosted or anything.

I’m currently testing the workflow , specifcally email trigger (MAP), which inside the setup, have been tested correctly, but somehow it failed to listen any incoming email.

What is the error message (if any)?

connection lost repeatedly and failed to listen to email IMAP

so there are 2 questions:
1/ the connection keep lost, why is it?
2/ Workflow keep saying: waiting for you to receive an email.

sorry I’m not technical enough to understand what this means, but I’m still at the first step.

Information on your n8n setup

  • **n8n version: Running version [email protected]
  • **Database (default: SQLite): i assume default, I didn’t change anything
  • **n8n EXECUTIONS_PROCESS setting (default: own, main): through website chrome?
  • **Running n8n via (Docker, npm, n8n cloud, desktop app): desktop app (google chrome)
  • **Operating system: Mac OS Sonoma V14.5

Have you successfully connected/added an IMAP account to credentials?

Are you sending emails to that email to test?

yea, I have added IMAP account to credentials.
when I test, the connection was fine, but when I test, and try to send an email, it didn’t read anything

No triggers at all or it triggered but didn’t contain any details?
