Hello, thank you for your work, i’m following the course on the doc site but the api used in the second course https://api.quotable.io/quotes doesn’t exist anymore this address map to the github repo of the quotable project.
I ran into the same problem.
Here is the link to the exercise:
Understanding the data structure
You all can use API https://jsonplaceholder.typicode.com/
Hey,
It looks like I didn’t get a message from the n8n_team mention, I will update the course to use a different api that is more stable.
The documentation still shows using api.quotable.io but it’s still down. Suggestions here and elsewhere point to using any other public API. I’ve tried a few but have had no success in splitting anything out. It returns “data” which has a bunch of HTML code, is not an array, so .map() doesn’t work. What is there to split out? Could the documentation be updated to a working API with more detailed instructions.
Hey @Yrag
I will update this today.
Hi All, The link is still down - FYI
The documentation still shows using api.quotable.io
I opened a doc issue here to contribute to the selection of the API reference for the tutorial.
31st March, 2025 - It still hasn’t been fixed or replaced. C’mon n8n, this doesn’t really inspire confidence in the team as a new user, that even the tutorial links don’t get fixed in more than half a year of being reported. Very disappointing…
