Customer support ai n8n

hi all, so a few questioons regarding how to set up an agentic ai on a website using n8n, can I use it to build the interface as well as the backend? how can i do that locally on my own cloud/server? and making it so can give the customer options from the available projects to choose from, and understand the different ways theyll ask for it and auto send the request to my email? in a way that is secure for the data of both parties? and how can that be done at a relatively affordable price?

Need to know which n8n version or license you gonna use.

Read the license carefully. They already tells what you can do or not.

I’m currently on the paid monthly subscription but will continue to use my workflow after I unsubscribe, so mostly just SUL or fair coding license. As far as I’ve read, you don’t really need to worrying while using it for the backend of a website customer support chatbot as long as you don’t sell the chatbot. But wanted to confirm unless I’m mistaken.

Yes if you don’t sell the service. Then from what I know it’s ok.

Only if you are selling a service and put n8n as backend that will become a problem.

Is using it as a backend for the customer support chatbot in our company website considered selling it as a service? What constitutes as “selling”? So if I made the chatbot using a front end widget and a backend with n8n to automate how the requests reach the emails of responsible colleagues, how would that work? Because I’m not selling the workflow technically, but the 24/7 support could be considered a service, mind you I’ll be hosting it on the local server/ cloud.

This should be totally OK, and aligns with license.

Sustainable Use License, as long as you are using it for your own internal business purposes and not providing n8n as a service to external customers.
