Disable Two-factor authentication (2FA)!

Describe the problem/error/question

I need to disable the Two-factor authentication (2FA) but I don´t have the two factor code they are asking me for. Is there a way to contact someone from n8n to send me an email so that I can succesfully disable it. Or ask for the recovery code at least?

What is the error message (if any)?

Information on your n8n setup

  • n8n version:
  • Database (default: SQLite):
  • n8n EXECUTIONS_PROCESS setting (default: own, main):
  • Running n8n via (Docker, npm, n8n cloud, desktop app):
  • Operating system:

Since you are using n8n Cloud, you cannot manually disable Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) or retrieve recovery codes yourself if you have lost access to both the authenticator app and the backup codes.

To resolve this, you will need to contact the n8n support team directly. Here is the recommended process based on n8n’s official support guidance:

  1. Send an email to: help@n8n.io
  2. Use the correct email: Make sure you send the request from the email address associated with your n8n account.
  3. Include essential details: In your email, clearly state that you have lost access to your 2FA and recovery codes. Be sure to include your workspace URL (e.g., your-subdomain.n8n.cloud) to help them locate your account quickly.
  4. Bypass automated replies: If you receive an automated response, reply to that email with the phrase “I want to talk to a human”. This typically triggers the ticket to be escalated to a real support agent who can verify your identity and manually disable 2FA for you

yes, I already sent them an email. I´m waiting for their response.
