The idea is:
MCP servers have the feature of elicitation for months now. This allows to request additional infomration from the user during a tool call. This will allow better parameter handling, a more stable way to pass parameters from the client to the server and a reliable way to ask for permission to call a critical tool e.g. delete operations.

We are building different MCP servers for multiple customers and asking for permission for certain tools is a must to elevate our servers to an enterprise level regarding the comments of our customers. For some customers, we would build the whole imfrastructure including n8n as the client for the mcp server, but wihtout elicitation, this can’t be done unfortunately.
