Error: Failed to launch the browser before processing. in youtube transcript

Dears,

I am new to N8N and I like it so much. I am trying to take more steps in it by building a small workflow to extract YouTube transcripts.

I am using this customer node (n8n-nodes-youtube-transcript - npm) created by @Franz when I try to test the node I get this error:

Error: Failed to launch the browser before processing

I expected the problem in Puppeteer but I installed it but still encountered the same problem.

More details:

  • using docker desktop
  • using the latest n8n image

I am using this Dockerfile for n8n.

  • Uses the n8nio/base image with Node.js 20.
  • Installs Chromium and Puppeteer to allow browser automation.

After small test it’s really great node thanks so much.
but it’s not working on:

  • Shorts
  • Arabic Language movies

Do u attend to solving these cases?

Need help. using digital ocean server. anyone know how can i fix the same ERROR?

the problem with me related to network connection and security … please check with the digital ocean support to be sure no firewall or blocking to any ports

I can include the feature requests. At least the shorts should work.
