We are currently evaluating n8n for building internal integrations (mainly API-based, including systems like Business Central and other internal/on-prem services).
From a functionality perspective, n8n looks like a great fit for us. However, we have some concerns regarding hosting and data residency.
As I understand it, n8n Cloud is currently hosted on a US-based cloud provider (Azure), even though the data is stored in EU regions. For our organization, this can be challenging due to internal policies and customer requirements around data sovereignty and avoiding US hyperscalers.
Self-hosting is unfortunately not an option for us at the moment.
So my questions are:
Are there any plans to offer n8n Cloud hosted on a non-US cloud provider (e.g. EU-based infrastructure)?
Are there alternative hosting options or partnerships that would allow us to stay fully within EU-controlled infrastructure?
Is this something already being discussed on the roadmap?
We would really like to move forward with n8n, but this is currently a key blocker for us.
Thanks in advance!ening a feature request. If this is for a node, please add the node subcategory. Otherwise, follow the below template.
The idea is:
To offer n8n Cloud hosting on infrastructure that is not operated by US-based hyperscalers, for example fully EU-based cloud providers or sovereign cloud options.
My use case:
We are building internal integrations between systems such as Business Central, internal/on-prem systems, and other APIs. We need a cloud-hosted solution, but due to internal policies and customer requirements, we must avoid hosting on US-based cloud providers.
I think it would be beneficial to add this because:
Many European organizations have increasing requirements around data sovereignty and avoiding US hyperscalers, even when data is hosted in EU regions. Providing an EU-only hosting option would make n8n accessible to a broader set of companies with stricter compliance needs.
Any resources to support this?
Not at the moment.
Are you willing to work on this?
No as i am no developer.
