Hi there!! I’m feeling completely lost building my first workflow. I need to understand if this is the best tool for me: I need to create 2 scenarios (or conditions) for a chatbot to start talking to potential customers.
Scenario 1:
We have several ads running on Google and social networks (such as Facebook, Instagram…) and if the person interacts with the ad, their main data (name, email and phone number) will be captured in RD Station. If the person comes from these ads, then the chatbot should get this data from RD to start the conversation and, knowing the first name, should start with “Hello, [first name]”. Only then could the person or bot start a conversation with questions, etc.
At the end, I need the entire transcript to be received in the RD so that the my team can then “work” this customer, making a phone call or scheduling an appointment. The idea is that if the person interacts with the ad at night, the team won’t start working until the next day at 9am. With the chatbot, this problem would be solved, and it would always be available 24/7.
Scenario 2:
If there is no lead in the RD Station and the person lands on this page by another means of referral (sending a direct link or other), the chatbot needs to collect the 3 mandatory customer details: name, email and phone number, perhaps through a form (or other). Only once this data has been captured and the bot has said “hello, (first name)” can it start the conversation. Then the entire conversation must be sent (including the 3 mandatory form fields) to RD Station so that the team can take action.
So I don’t know how I should start my workflow in n8n in terms of choosing modules: should I choose a condition, chat, form or other?!
