I am unable to change the value of the RecordRef

I have added the npm library(node-suitetalk - npm) according to the given example on the above link the variable assignments is not working.
Can you please check

Your code seems to be incomplete. The following lines are missing:

const NetSuite = require("node-suitetalk");
const Record = NetSuite.Record;

Additionally, do you also have to set the environment variable

export NODE_FUNCTION_ALLOW_EXTERNAL=node-suitetalk
