How to change the webhook production URL from /webhook to /api

I would like to change my webhook URL from https://subdomain.domain.com/webhook to https://subdomain.domain.com/api

My N8N instance is self-hosted on Ubuntu 22.04 with Docker Compose.

Can anyone point me in the right direction? Cheers!

It looks like your topic is missing some important information. Could you provide the following if applicable.

  • n8n version:
  • Database (default: SQLite):
  • n8n EXECUTIONS_PROCESS setting (default: own, main):
  • Running n8n via (Docker, npm, n8n cloud, desktop app):
  • Operating system:

There is the environment variable N8N_ENDPOINT_WEBHOOK which is also documented in our docs here.
Anyway can not promise that we do not deprecate it at some point as it is nothing which seems to be used much.
