How to get listed in "Credentials Library"

HI all,

I work for Frame.io and we are working on a community node for our V4 APIs as we’ve had a lot of requests to do so (or would be open to an official partnership, but have not heard back from anyone at the partnerships team).

I was looking into how we could be listed in the “Credentials Library” but have not seen anywhere to submit a request to be added. Ideally n8n would host the client secret & client id and provide a redirect uri that we could have user authenticate to as opposed to having users need to create their own credentials for each instance (trying to keep it simple for UX) however I’m open to what makes the most sense.

Is there someone at n8n who could help with this request?

Thanks!

Hi @Charlie_Anderson

The practical solution is to create and publish an n8n node (Node.js, following the official template n8n) as a community integration, and if you want it built into the default Credentials Library, work with the n8n team to get that integration merged into the core project

@Charlie_Anderson Welcome!

I recommend reading this official document , and for submitting your node you should create an account here Login - n8n.io , hope this helps.

@Charlie_Anderson Does it bring any help? Were you be able to submit your request?

Thanks for the docs, was going to go that route anyways but was looking to make the credentials portion very user friendly as the adobe developer console requires a redirect url which I was hoping to have n8n provide and then also store the client_id & client_secret (similar to how zapier’s developer platform is set up as well).

Still waiting to hear back from n8n (it’s been 8 weeks…) was hoping to catch someone’s attention here on the forums to help expedite things.

Where did u submit the request?

8 weeks seems like it is the wrong place or something went wrong.

@BramKn initially via hello@n8n, which the bot picked up and sent me to an incorrect email, then someone from support (TJ) picked it up and then after I followed up after a month he replied back:

”Thank you for reaching out.

Our partnerships department is currently experiencing a high volume of requests, which means there may be a delay in responding to your inquiry. We truly appreciate your patience and understanding.

Rest assured, your request is in the queue and will be addressed as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience!”

That last email was on Jan 9, first one was on Dec 2

Thank you for the clarification. I guess they are very busy then.

I have tagged the topic for the n8n team. Hopefully you will get a reply soon.
