"How to update n8n cloud instance to the latest version (critical update)"

Hello, I am currently on n8n cloud version 1.104.2.
I see a warning that a critical update is available and I should update to version 1.106.3 or higher.
Since I am using the n8n cloud service (not self-hosted), how can I trigger this update?
Do I need to wait for automatic upgrade from n8n cloud team, or is there a manual way to do it from my account panel?

Since you’re using the n8n Cloud service, you can actually update it manually from your account panel.

Since you’re on n8n Cloud, you have two options:

  1. Manual update (if you’re the instance owner):

    • Go to your Cloud Dashboard → Manage (or Admin Panel).

    • Select Latest Stable (recommended) or Latest Beta.

    • Save changes → confirm restart.

  2. Automatic update:

    • If you don’t update manually, the Cloud team will handle it.

    • After 120 days you’ll get an email reminder, and if no action is taken, the instance is auto-updated after 150 days.

So: check if you have the Manage/Admin Panel option. If not, just wait — the Cloud team will upgrade your instance automatically :rocket:
