I ended up here because I googled exactly the same problem.
Trying to pass a URL to an HTTP Node using $fromAI.
Using the latest version in the managed service instance.

$fromAI is not currently supported in the HttpTool, you need to use the {placerholder}
syntax described in the yellow tip box when you open the node.

I can’t reproduce your this error with your posted example, though the name also doesn’t match up.
I did see a similar error in the past when there was an empty space character before the URL in the httpTool, so watch out for that and let us know if this issue persists on the latest release.
If you try to open the errored node, appear some specific error ?
Update, I believe that I fixed it by allowing the AI to fill it automatically
