I am planning to offer Automations on a local company here in Muscat. Any tips? *This is my first time

Hi Guys,

I hope you’re having a great time.

I am a bit new in automations tho I have few clients before but automations I built are just simple ones, I am struggling to get clients online so I decided to try getting clients locally, I tried reaching out to managers here in Oman and they asked me to schedule a meeting so I can show them proposal about the automations, I am targetting their adhoc tasks as an Accountant, do you guys have any tips or advise on what should i be preparing aside from the Automations or tasks I made? What would be the things or steps I should do? like maybe doing an Audit.. etc.

Thank you.

James

Hi @sudo_james! I’ve been in the same situation and did the same approach. It’s great you’re moving into local automation consulting, targeting accounting and ad hoc tasks is spot on, as those are perfect for n8n.

For your proposal, focus on high-value tasks like report generation, data sync, and expense logging. Emphasize a security-first approach with NDAs and ownership of credentials, plus suggest hosting their own instance if possible. Conduct an audit of their current manual time and highlight how automation can save hours. Lastly, reassure them about maintenance with error monitoring and staging environments.

Good luck in Oman! Break down the tasks simply and highlight the human touch you bring as an expert. I recommend preparing a webpage/PDF showcasing how much money your solution would save them compared to manual labor per/hr , and also the most important thing, a client does not care about the technicalities you put into the workflow, they only care about the solution you are providing not the AI models you are incorporating, so at some point when you pitch to someone just tell them how your solution of automating some lame process would help them save cost per/month and per/year , trust me this worked for me cause business owners seek solutions not how you make them!

Cheers!
