am using n8n desktop version; the read binary node doesn’t return any data when executed to read an excel file saved on my hard disk, but it executes the node successfuly.

Can you please share some more information, like the exact error and the error details? Because with the currently available information, is it sadly not possible for us to know exactly what is going on.
