I had the same issue with the latest version (1.109.2) and in case it can help someone else experiencing this here’s a reminder that updating the n8n instance doesn’t automatically update the nodes in existing workflows.
So if you are either working on an old workflow from older n8n versions or have imported a template with node versions specified to an older version deleting and re-adding the Chat Trigger node may solve the issue. It did for me.
