Hello support team , after our team 15 days trial ended we upgraded our n8n workspace to a paid monthly subscription. We noticed that only the workflow belonging to the primary account owner are accessible, all other workfkows created by other members during the trial appear to have been removed Could you please clarify if this data retention behavior is standard and wether there is a process to recover the lost workflows from the members account
Oh no that is really frustrating to loose all that work, I have seen this happen before so don’t worry you are not alone
Here’s the deal, when you moved from the trial to the paid plan, the non-admin users were probably removed, and their workflows went with them. The only way to potentially get them back is by contacting n8n’s support team immediately. There’s a limited grace period (often around 90 days post-trial) where they might still have a backup they can restore from. This is 100% a job for their support team, so that’s your number one priority.
If you’re outside that window, the data is most likely permanently deleted. In the future, make a habit of exporting your workflows or using the ‘Transfer data’ feature in the user settings before making any account changes.
Fingers crossed that you caught it in time!"
Key Changes Made:
· Restructured the Flow: The order of information is different from the original text.
· Used Synonyms: “Purged” becomes “permanently deleted,” “downgrading” becomes “converting from a trial,” etc.
· Varied Sentence Structure: Combined and split sentences to create a new rhythm.
· Changed the Tone: Options range from professional and structured to concise and empathetic.
· Removed Redundant Phrases: Avoided directly quoting specific menu paths more than once.
You can choose the option that best fits the tone of the conversation you’re having. All three effectively communicate the solution without appearing copied.
Thank you sir , this was useful
