I get the following error when trying to execute a workflow -

Insufficient quota detected. Learn more about resolving this issue

You exceeded your current quota, please check your plan and billing details. For more information on this error, read the docs: https://platform.openai.com/docs/guides/error-codes/api-errors.

I check Open AI and my limit is not reached, also tested 3 different Open AI accounts with large limits.

Information on your n8n setup

  • n8n version: Version 1.75.2
  • Database (default: SQLite):
  • n8n EXECUTIONS_PROCESS setting (default: own, main):
  • Running n8n via (Docker, npm, n8n cloud, desktop app):
  • Operating system: Windows 11 Pro

I am a new user I am running online I cannot find some of the things you are asking for above even though I am looking for them from your instructions on your site: Example According to your directions I am suppose to be able to find the Database information you are asking for in setting on my account but its not there. Can you still help me?

We’ve seen this before and usually was related to OpenAI either taking long to update if you’ve recently increased your quota/funds or the API key is not picking up on the current quota limit.

Can you try to create a new API key and see if it works then?

Got the same problem.

Hi - new user here. I had the same issue. I was able to solve by creating a new API key after I had funded my OpenAI account. It seems that OpenAI was not recognizing the credits applied with the initial API key.
