Is there a non-buggy AND gate?

Describe the problem/error/question

There seems to be no functional AND logic gate. Merge in combine mode is the closest I can find, but there are many issues with it:

1. It doesn’t work with append mode; because it doesn’t actually wait for both inputs
2. It blocks subworkflows from returning if the execution is not finished / ie if it hasn’t received both inputs.

It is either you want to wait for all inputs or you don’t
You cannot want the node to both wait and not wait for all inputs.

Maybe it would be great if you could show the setup you wish to make work, explain the inputs and desired output and we will take a look together?
