I have an issue creating Google Docs on a shared Google Drive with n8n (latest cloud).
Using OAuth2 Credentials (using shared drive Manager credentials, Internal user type) with Google Drive API enabled & Google Docs API enabled.
I can create, edit, delete etc. Google Docs in the main workspace, no issue.
I can create a file in the shared workspace with ‘Google Drive - Create file from text’ node.
I can read a file in the shared Google Drive with ‘Google Docs - Get a document’ node.
I can update a file in the shared Google Drive with ‘Google Docs - Update a document’ node.
What I cannot do is use the ‘Google Docs - Create a document’ node to create a file in the shared Google Drive! As soon as I select the Shared Drive in the Create a document parameter settings, I get ‘Error fetching options from Google Docs’ in the Folder Name or ID field (attached).
I’ve tried many ways but always meet some sort of error trying to create a Google Doc in the shared Google Drive.
What I can do is create a Google Doc in the main workspace & then use ‘Google Drive - Move a file’ to move it into the Shared Drive - that works without issue.
Ideas?
