Hi everyone,

I’m building a new AI automation agency focused on WhatsApp automation for service businesses.

We’re starting from zero, with no existing clients or fixed monthly salary. I’m looking for 1–2 reliable n8n builders to work on a project basis as clients are acquired.

Location

India is preferred for timezone and communication, but international candidates are welcome if they can provide reasonable overlap.

Hi Jyotirmoy,

The error-handling and human-handoff parts of your list are the two I’d want to talk about first - in WhatsApp flows those are where client trust is won or lost, because a failed send at the wrong moment looks like the business ignoring a customer.

What I can show you today:

  • Lead capture from web forms / Meta lead ads / webhooks into one normalised record, with dedupe and a source tag
  • AI qualification on top of that: a scoring rubric, an LLM call, and a status written back to the CRM
  • Automated follow-up sequences with a hard stop the moment a human takes over, so the bot never talks over your team
  • Failure handling built in from the start: retries with backoff, failed items kept instead of dropped, and an alert carrying the record ID

Timezone: I’m UTC+8, so I overlap with IST for most of your working day, and I work async with written updates by default.

One honest gap: I haven’t shipped a WhatsApp Cloud API integration yet. Webhooks, HTTP nodes, REST APIs and Sheets/CRM syncing I’m comfortable with - WhatsApp itself I’d want to prototype once before you put it in front of a paying client. I’d rather flag that now than discover it on your first project.

Happy to do a small paid test build first so you can judge the work before it goes near a client.

Name / location / timezone
Mohsen, Iran — UTC+3:30, so a 2-hour offset from IST. That means calls land in your morning or your evening, and every handover comes with written documentation, so your side is never blocked waiting on my working hours.

Years of n8n experience
About 2 years, self-hosted in Docker. I come from full-stack development (Python/JS), which is why the API, webhook and JSON side of n8n is the part I’m fastest at.

Real workflows I built personally

  1. WhatsApp lead capture → AI FAQ → human handoff.     The routing fails safe rather than trusting the model: a message escalates to a person when the model flags it, when the answer came back empty, or when confidence is under 0.6. Delivery receipts are dropped in the normaliser so the bot can never answer its own read receipt.

  2. Telegram content pipeline — photos in, a single LLM call writes the caption, hashtags and site copy, one-tap publish to a Supabase-backed site plus an Instagram carousel. Model 429/503 handled with cooldowns instead of retries that stampede the rate limit.

WhatsApp / API / AI-LLM experience
WhatsApp Cloud API: not yet in production. The workflow above is my own build of your exact use case — I’d rather you judge that than take my word for it. Technically it is a signed webhook plus a REST send endpoint, and the parts that actually cause trouble (24-hour message windows, template approval, per-conversation billing) are the ones I wrote up in the gist README.
API / webhooks: daily work. Inbound webhooks answered through a response node so the caller never times out; outbound APIs with auth, pagination and backoff.
AI / LLM: extensive. Gemini and OpenAI behind HTTP Request nodes, JSON-mode prompting, and defensive parsing for when a model returns prose instead of JSON — that case is one of the tests in the gist.

Production deployment and monitoring
Containers with restart policies, structured logs, and retry with backoff. I hold dedupe state so a re-run can never double-post or double-message. I currently run a lead-agent that polls several job boards on its own and alerts me — so the monitoring is something I use, not just something I claim.

Preferred project-based pricing
$15/hour, or fixed price per workflow when the scope is clear:

  • single-purpose workflow (like the demo above): $200
  • full WhatsApp assistant — intent routing, CRM/Sheets, booking, handoff: $450–700
  • a paid test project: welcome, at the same hourly rate

Weekly availability
Roughly 20 hours/week, adjustable toward your pipeline. When clients are acquired, I can prioritise.

Your arrangement — you own clients and requirements, I own implementation and stay responsible for the workflow after deployment — is the split I want. A build that gets abandoned at handover is worse than no build, which is why the demo above ships with its tests and a README listing its known risks.

Answers to your seven points are in your DM inbox already (sent yesterday, plus a follow-up after your clarification post) - so I won’t repeat them here.

The one thing I’d add publicly: the bottom half of your requirements list is the half that will decide whether the agency keeps clients past the first project. Building the demo workflow for lead qualification or FAQ is the easy part; running WhatsApp automations in production for months - when Meta changes something, when a workflow stops silently, when a client asks “is this thing even on?” - is a different discipline entirely. That’s the side I operate from: a WhatsApp Business assistant for a clinic (reminders, intake, document collection) has been running in production for me long enough to have those stories, plus the watchdog habit that alerts on silence, not just failures.

Either way - nice to see the lifecycle half called out explicitly in a hiring post. Most only list the build.

Interested. One scoping question: what share of the work touches a database (Supabase/Postgres) versus pure API glue?
