Hi everyone,

I need some help!

I’m looking for an API that can take a character’s name from a TV series and generate a random prompt that can later be used for image generation. If no such API exists, I’d be open to using an online website instead as long as it can be scraped using n8n.

Does anyone know of any options?

@Zelite - you’ve helped with similar issues before, can you take a look?

No @Maxwell45 there’s no API that does that specifically.

You don’t need to scrape a prompt site either those sites just give you random generic prompts, they won’t use your character name.

The easiest way in n8n is to just use an LLM node.

Give it the character name, plus a few random things to make it different each time. Like random location city, forest, beach, spaceship etc. Random time sunrise, day, night. Shot type portrait, full body, wide shot. Mood happy, dramatic, relaxed.

Then tell the LLM to output a proper JSON with stuff like character, setting, action, camera angle, lighting, mood, art style, negative prompt.

So it goes like: character name + random picks → LLM → nice image prompt → image generator.

Way more flexible than scraping and you get full control.

Just one tip if you’re testing, save those random values somewhere. Otherwise every time you run it you get something completely new and you can’t figure out what went wrong.
