MCP nodes not available in self hosting starter kit

Downloaded the self-hosted-ai-starter kit from GitHub, fired it up and …NO MCP nodes? Can I add that after the fact or am I SOL?

Hi,

MCP is a community node for now (they are working on integration it)

I think it should be possible the install them under setting > community nodes

And you should install

n8n-nodes-mcp

](n8n-nodes-mcp - npm)

there are videos online on how to do it.

Ugh. Your right. I had forgotten that I had to load those in via the community nodes feature. Thx.

Does marking an item as “solution” close it as well? I don’t see a separate CLOSE button anywhere…

i’m not sure, but it gets a tick in the list and i wouldn’t look at it as well others i guess. in this way other people searching for the same might find a solution
