We are evaluating a migration from Workato to n8n and would like guidance from the community on the most effective approach to do this at scale.
Specifically, I’m interested in understanding:
Recommended strategies for translating Workato recipes (triggers, actions, conditional logic, and error handling) into n8n workflows
How teams typically handle differences in connectors, authentication methods, and data mapping between the two platforms
Best practices for migrating complex workflows (long chains, branching logic, retries, and rate limits)
Tooling or automation approaches (scripts, APIs, export/import patterns) that can reduce manual effort
Common pitfalls to avoid during such migrations
If anyone has completed a Workato → n8n migration (partial or full), I’d greatly appreciate insights, lessons learned, or reference architectures.
