N8N Automation Developer Needed

Hi @Filasophia,

I build production n8n workflows. Not sandbox experiments, not demos for clients to validate and never deploy. I come from a manufacturing background so I think about automation from an operational standpoint: it has to run reliably, it has to be maintainable by whoever comes after me, and it has to be secure.

On your specific use cases:

Order processing into Excel without manual input is a straightforward but unforgiving flow. I have built similar pipelines that capture inbound data, validate it, and write to structured sheets with error handling so bad records don’t silently corrupt your output.

Google Drive folder creation and PDF routing I have running in production. The logic around conditional routing and folder hierarchy is something I handle cleanly.

Email classification and routing by department is an AI classification workflow I have built before, using n8n with an LLM step to categorize and then route accordingly.

Lead collection from scheduled social/web sources I have done with both API integrations and scraping-adjacent approaches depending on what the source allows.

On security: API key management through n8n’s credential system, environment variables for secrets, no plaintext credentials in workflow nodes, and access controls configured at the instance level. That is baseline for me, not an afterthought.

I prefer long-term engagements over one-offs too. Consistent work with one client beats juggling five.

One question before I DM you a portfolio: are most of these workflows on your existing self-hosted n8n instance, or are you still deciding on infrastructure?

Hi,

Ongoing automation work with a growing scope is exactly the engagement model I want. I’m available and ready.

What you described maps directly to production work I’ve shipped:

  • Order capture → Excel/Sheets logging: standard n8n workflow with Code nodes for data transformation
  • Google Drive folder structure creation + PDF routing: webhook-triggered file management, done this for clients
  • Email classification + routing (sales/marketing/etc.): AI-powered classification using Claude — I have a live example of a similar system routing WhatsApp and Facebook DMs to the right queues
  • Lead generation on a schedule: n8n + Apollo/web sources + Google Sheets output, daily cadence

On security: I use environment variables for all API keys (never hardcoded), scoped OAuth with minimum permissions, and separate credentials per client. Data never passes through intermediary services unnecessarily.

I work remotely from South Africa (UTC+2), take ownership of delivery, and prefer long-term ongoing collaboration over one-off projects.

Happy to discuss scope and rates. narotsuhail@gmail.com or DM here.

Hey Filasophia

I get your concept of making an Agent that ships the orders directly to Excel without manual interuuption. We have been building automations and AI Agenst for almost 6 years now and this is a piece of cake. The thing that most people wont tell you is the logic behind this system. This system needs a clean logic and should not stop at your busiest hours.

We are specialized in producing that!. Visit our portfolio and let us know what do you think!

Hi @Filasophia — if you still need support, I can help with a small first slice rather than trying to take over the whole stream at once.

The workflows you listed fit a practical n8n pattern:

  • order intake → Excel/Sheet logging with required-field checks,
  • Drive folder/PDF routing with clear naming rules,
  • email classification → department routing,
  • lead capture/enrichment → review queue,
  • error log + simple handoff notes so the next workflow is easier to maintain.

A good paid starter task would be one order-processing or email-routing workflow, built cleanly with test data and documentation. If that works, we can repeat the pattern across the backlog.

Hi Filasophia. I can help with the production n8n side of this.

I would start with a small paid slice rather than a broad engagement: one internal workflow such as order intake to a structured Excel/Sheets row, Google Drive folder routing for PDFs, or email classification to department handoff.

My focus would be stable payload mapping, clear error paths, credential separation, run logs, and handoff notes so another developer can inspect the workflow later. I would avoid touching any lead-generation or sourcing workflow until the source rules and consent boundaries are clear.

If useful, share one workflow brief and expected input/output, and I can scope the first slice.

Hi Filasophia. I can help with a continuous stream of production n8n workflows, but I would start with one workflow that proves reliability: order intake to Excel or Drive with dedupe, error ledger, retries, and handoff notes, or email classification and routing with sample inbox data. I work on backend/API, CRM and workflow automation, data handoff, and QA. Which first workflow is most painful right now?

Hi @Filasophia,

Is this opportunity still open?

I currently build and maintain an n8n-based B2B lead operations workflow involving data cleaning, validation, deduplication, lead scoring, Google Sheets, scheduled Gmail outreach, reply/bounce tracking, lead-status updates, follow-up logic, webhook/API integrations, and error handling.

The lead-generation, spreadsheet automation, email-routing, and long-term maintenance parts of your post are especially relevant to the work I’m already doing.

I don’t want to overstate experience with security architecture or production systems I haven’t personally deployed, but I’m comfortable starting with one clearly scoped paid workflow and proving reliability first.

Workflow portfolio:

If you’re still looking, I’d be happy to review one current workflow brief and suggest a first paid scope.

Best,
Tao Li

Hi Filasophia,

Your post caught my attention because I’m very interested in building a long-term working relationship around reliable, production-ready n8n automations not just one-off workflows.

I’m an AI Automation & Workflow Specialist experienced with n8n, Make.com, Zapier, Google Workspace, Google Sheets, Airtable, CRM systems, APIs and webhooks. I build workflows that reduce repetitive manual work, improve data flow, and connect the tools businesses already use.

The projects you described order processing, Google Drive file routing, intelligent email classification, and scheduled lead generation—are exactly the kind of workflows I enjoy working on.

One of the more complex automation approaches I’ve worked with involves connecting form submissions to Google Sheets/CRM systems, automated email communication, and structured lead management, while ensuring each step passes the right data to the next system without unnecessary manual intervention.

I also understand your point about security. For workflows handling customer, financial, or internal data, I pay attention to credential management, API access, permissions, secure connections, data handling, error handling, and keeping workflows clean and maintainable.

I’d be happy to share my n8n/automation portfolio and discuss how I could support your continuous stream of projects. I’m especially interested in becoming a reliable long-term automation partner rather than simply completing a single task.

I’d love to connect and learn more about the type of projects you have coming up.

Best,
Chukwuemeka

Hi Filasophia, the four families of work you describe — order capture into a spreadsheet, Drive folder structures with PDF routing, email classification and departmental routing, scheduled lead collection — are the everyday shape of what I build. Three systems of mine are running in production right now, not in a sandbox.

The most complex one, and what made it hard: a WhatsApp AI sales agent for a real-estate agency. It replies in under 30 seconds, 24/7, in four languages including Moroccan darija. It qualifies the enquiry, transcribes voice notes, sends documents and photos, creates and reschedules appointments, keeps a mini-CRM and a full conversation log, and hands over to a human the moment the exchange leaves its defined scope.

The difficulty was never the nodes. It was three things. Deciding, with the client and in writing, where the agent stops and a human takes over. Handling the same person writing three messages in a row, so the agent answers once with context instead of three times out of order. And making failures visible: an agent that silently stops replying is far worse than one that answers imperfectly, so every branch ends either in a logged action or in an alert.

On security, since you raise it first: credentials live in n8n’s credential store and never in nodes or in code, each integration gets its own key with the narrowest scope that works, everything moves over HTTPS, personal data is written only where the process actually needs it, and sensitive actions are logged with who or what triggered them. Workflows are named and grouped so another developer can follow the logic without a manual.

Other systems in production: a construction company’s operations base on Airtable and n8n linking quotes, site interventions, invoicing and cash-flow, with automated follow-ups and deadline alerts; and a media content chain with AI-scored RSS monitoring, generated scripts and synthetic voice-over, three daily workflows from one control base.

Background: state engineer, fifteen years running industrial and commercial operations — procurement, construction sites, an LPG bottling plant — before specialising in automation. It is the reason I look at a process before I look at a tool.

A long-term relationship over rotating freelancers suits me exactly. I am remote from Casablanca, comfortable across European and US hours, and happy to walk you through any of these live on a shared screen rather than sending screenshots.

N8N Automation Developer Needed

We’re looking for an N8N developer or small team to work on a continuous stream of automation projects. This isn’t a one-off engagement. We have ongoing work, and the scope grows as we do.

What you’ll build:

  • Order Processing: Systems that capture incoming orders and log them directly into Excel without manual input.
  • File Management: Automations that create folder structures on Google Drive and route PDFs to the right locations automatically.
  • Email Routing: Workflows that classify and forward messages to the correct departments — sales inquiries to Sales, marketing requests to Marketing.
  • Lead Generation: Tools that collect prospects from social media and web sources on a scheduled basis.

What we expect:

  • Proven N8N Experience: Workflows running in production environments, not just sandbox projects.
  • Security Practices: API key management, access controls, data encryption in transit, and building workflows that don’t become vulnerabilities.
  • Clean Builds: Well-structured workflows that another developer can review and understand without extensive documentation.

How we work:

  • Payment: Hourly or project-based depending on scope.
  • Relationship: Preference for long-term collaboration over rotating freelancers.
  • How to Apply: Send your N8N portfolio (deployed workflows), describe your most complex automation, and reach out via DM on the n8n Community Forum.

Hi Filasophia — this is a good fit for a bounded first workflow, especially the security and handoff requirements.

I work under Automation Note. I won’t claim third-party production history I cannot document; my public proof is credential-free, synthetic/OSS n8n work:

For a first paid milestone, I can take one of:

  • order intake → Excel
  • PDF → Google Drive folder routing
  • email classification → department routing

USD 350 fixed / 2 business days, using staging or synthetic data only. Deliverables: importable workflow JSON, credential/config map, least-privilege notes, validation and duplicate protection, retries and failure logging, happy/failure tests, and written handoff. No production credentials or customer data needed. I work asynchronously and can scope the first milestone in writing without a call.

If third-party production history is mandatory before a trial, I’m not the right fit. Otherwise, share one redacted process and expected result here and I’ll return a bounded scope.

Hi CH_Abubakar,

I’m an experienced n8n automation developer with a strong focus on building clean, secure, and production-ready workflows. I have extensive experience setting up automated order processing, document routing on Google Drive, smart email classification, and lead generation pipelines.

Here is how I approach production workflows:

Security & Best Practices: Full credential isolation, least-privilege API management, and robust error handling/retry mechanisms.

Maintainability: Well-structured, modular workflows that are easy to scale and audit.

I would love to learn more about your current architecture and discuss a initial scope. I’ve sent you a DM with my portfolio and details on a complex automation I recently deployed. Looking forward to connecting!

Hi Filasophia — this is the kind of ongoing work I prefer. I build and operate Lana and Eva: production systems with API integrations, customer-data workflows, file and event routing, PostgreSQL, retries, monitoring and human escalation.

Security is part of the build: scoped service accounts, credentials kept outside workflow JSON, least-privilege access, synthetic test data, scrubbed logs and documented handoff. The most complex system I built is Eva, which coordinates a desktop console, backend relay and Windows workers across 1,500+ customer machines; the hard part was reliable routing, controlled execution and maintainable recovery paths.

Portfolio and sanitized examples are available on request. I can start a first scoped task within one week and can share sanitized workflow structure privately.

Hi Filasophia, this ongoing model is a strong fit for me. I build software and n8n automations around APIs, webhooks, databases, AI steps and operational workflows, with validation, retries, logging and documented handoff. Relevant work includes Lana, an AI-assisted multi-tenant SaaS, Eva Desktop for remote operations across 1,500+ Windows machines, and ClarifyVoice.

I can handle the order, Drive and PDF routing, email classification and lead-generation patterns you listed. I would start with one small paid workflow, tested with synthetic data and clear acceptance criteria, then continue on an hourly or project basis.

I am based in Berlin and available after one week. Is the stream still active, and what is the first project and budget range?

Best,
Joao

Hi,

“If your security thinking stops at it works, this isn’t the right fit” is the line that made me reply.

Concretely, on the stack I run today - 15 n8n workflows on n8n Cloud, 11 active, carrying a product from Stripe payment through onboarding, scraping, LLM analysis and PDF delivery:

  • API keys live in environment variables and a gitignored env file, never inside workflow JSON, never in a shared doc. The workflow backups I keep are gitignored for the same reason.
  • Credentials stay in the n8n credential store and are referenced by node, so an exported workflow never carries a secret.
  • Every workflow is snapshotted through the n8n REST API before I touch it. I learned that the hard way: a careless PUT corrupted a long run and took production down for an afternoon.
  • A dedicated error-handler workflow is wired across the others, and network-dependent steps retry rather than fail quietly. A job that cannot fail loudly is a job that lies to you.

On your list I am comfortable with the order capture into Excel, the Drive folder structures with PDF routing, and the email classification and routing - that last one is close to an LLM classifier I already run.

Where I am thin: collecting leads from social sources. Scraping itself I do (Apify, Google Maps), but social platforms are their own problem - rate limits, terms of service, account risk - and I would want to scope that one separately rather than promise it in the same breath.

France (CET), full remote, available now.

Hi @Filasophia,

I realize this was posted some time ago, but since you were looking for an ongoing relationship rather than a one-off project, I wanted to check whether you’re still considering delivery partners.

I coordinate a small technical team for n8n and custom automation projects. The systems you mentioned, order processing, Excel integration, Google Drive/PDF routing, email classification, and scheduled lead generation are within our delivery scope.

I also agree with your emphasis on security and maintainability. Our technical team focuses on controlled credentials, least-privilege access, authenticated triggers, safe logging, duplicate prevention, error recovery, and workflows that another developer can understand.

If the requirement is still active, I can send you the relevant engineer’s deployed workflow examples and a detailed case study through DM. We would also be comfortable beginning with one paid pilot before discussing an ongoing arrangement.

Are you still adding developers or small teams?

Happy to take a paid trial task before you commit to anything.

I build and operate production n8n + Claude systems — currently an invoice pipeline live since July 2026 at a manufacturer: 220+ invoices processed, ~590 nodes, 8 AI calls per document, approval routing, ERP write-back across 7 accounting systems.

I have an architecture diagram of it (no client data) — say the word and I’ll send it over.

Available 30-40 h/week, UTC-5, ES/EN. Happy to start with a small paid task.

Hi! I’m interested in working with you.

I have hands-on experience building automation workflows with n8n, including API integrations, Google Workspace automation, email processing, webhooks, and data synchronization between different systems. I focus on creating clean, maintainable workflows with security in mind, including proper credential management and reliable error handling.

One of the more complex automations I’ve built involved connecting multiple services through APIs, processing incoming data, applying business logic, and automatically routing information to the appropriate destinations while handling failures and notifications.

I’m looking for a long-term collaboration and would be happy to share examples of my work and discuss your upcoming projects.

Looking forward to hearing from you!

Hi Filasophia — for $49, paid only after delivery, I’ll audit one live n8n boundary such as incoming order → Excel, inbound email → department, or PDF → Drive.

Within two business days you receive:

  • a failure/recovery matrix
  • state, timeout, retry, idempotency, and reconciliation rules
  • a prioritized patch plan
  • executable synthetic tests for the non-happy paths

If I miss the written scope, the charge is $0. The $49 is credited toward a $299 implementation of the audited boundary.
