N8n Cloud instance crashing & not loading for days

Describe the problem/error/question

The past few days my whole cloud app have been crashing a bunch of times. For the majority of the times that it came back online, it crashed again just a minute or two after.

I must mention tho that this exact problem have not occured today (saturday), but my cloud app, workflow, or whatever it is that’s causing this, is extremely laggy. I’ve tried looking through executions and n8n just freezes when i click into a node inside an already excecuted excecution.

Information on your n8n setup

  • n8n version: 2.1.5
  • Database (default: SQLite):
  • n8n EXECUTIONS_PROCESS setting (default: own, main):
  • Running n8n via (Docker, npm, n8n cloud, desktop app): n8n Cloud
  • Operating system:

I’ve been using n8n Cloud for the past 6 months, building major automations for my business’s website which will be released to the public in the coming month(s). Our website is built in Bubble and the majority of our backend functionality/actual use of our website for our customers is being ran (partly or totally) via n8n Cloud on the €60 Pro plan.

I usually never interest myself in writing posts like this but i can’t seem to find anyone else with the same problem at this moment, so i’m writing this, not expecting anything but grateful for all the guiding i can get.

Firsly, if anybody knows, what is (or could be) the cause of the problem i’m having, which i explained at the top of this post?

Then i would love to hear if anybody has an opinion on my choice of n8n Cloud instead of self hosting, based on my situation which i explained above aswell. Is what’ve occured the past days something i’ve got to count with if i continue running on n8n Cloud?

With a whole setup of a bunch of completed, advanced workflows; what pros and cons do i have if i’d move to self hosted on e.g., Google Cloud Run, and how messy of a process would i have?

Thanks in advance, if anybody has read this far and got something to say. :folded_hands: And happy new year!

It’s tough to say exactly why your n8n Cloud instance is crashing without more information. You could try checking the n8n Cloud status page ([https://status.n8n.io/\](https://status.n8n.io/)) to see if there are any known issues. You could also reach out to n8n Cloud support directly as they’ll have more detailed logs and insights into what’s happening.

Let me know if this works!
