This is a direct match for what I’m actively working on. I just finished building a WhatsApp AI concierge system that’s going into production — built on WhatsApp Business API with Meta webhooks, handling multi-turn conversations, booking flows, and intelligent routing. So I’m deep in exactly this stack right now.

Directly relevant experience:

  • WhatsApp Business API + Meta webhooks: Hands-on production experience with webhook verification, message type handling (text, interactive buttons, list messages, template messages, media), and delivery/read receipt processing
  • Edge-case handling in conversational flows: Built logic for out-of-order messages, session timeouts, unexpected user inputs, message deduplication (Meta sometimes sends duplicate webhooks), and graceful fallbacks when users go off-script
  • Production robustness: Implemented retry logic with exponential backoff, dead-letter queues for failed message processing, structured error logging, and alerting (Slack/email) when workflows hit unexpected states
  • n8n + custom code hybrid: For complex WhatsApp logic, I combine n8n’s visual orchestration with custom JavaScript/Python function nodes for the parts that need more control — message parsing, state management, conditional routing based on conversation context

Since your system is already live, I’d approach this carefully:

  1. Audit first — review the current workflow architecture, identify the specific edge cases and message types needed
  2. Incremental extensions — add new message type support and edge-case logic without touching working production paths
  3. Test in parallel — new branches tested alongside live flows before cutover
  4. Documentation — clear notes on what was added and why, so your team can maintain it

Timezone: I’m India-based (IST = GMT+5:30), but I work flexible hours and have strong overlap with Irish business hours. I’m used to async collaboration with UK/EU clients.

Hi. If this WhatsApp workflow support is still open, I can help as a production debugging/reliability slice.

I would first inspect the current n8n flow with redacted credentials/sample payloads, map the WhatsApp/Meta webhook states, and fix one narrow path: extra message type, edge-case routing, retries, logs, and a safe rollback note.

For live production systems, my minimum useful first slice is $450-$800 or $70-$90/hour, depending on access and urgency.

One question: is the current issue mostly WhatsApp message-type handling, webhook reliability, or business logic branching?
