@aleklang I doubt it’s your instance going down, check your firewall settings, extension settings and your browser console, what errors are you getting?
Hi @aleklang
If the drops are short and clear up on their own, this is upgrade restarts. A Cloud workspace on Update cadence “Every new release” with Maintenance window “Upgrade anytime” takes each release the moment it ships, on average one a day, and every upgrade is a 1 to 2 minute restart where the editor goes down. A scheduled upgrade is not an incident, so the status page stays green through it. Open the Cloud dashboard, Manage > Workspace > Updates & maintenance, set Maintenance window to “Pick a window” outside your working hours and Update cadence to “Security & stability”.
That offline icon in the top right means the editor has lost its WebSocket connection to the instance, it doesn’t mean the instance itself is down. Your workflows continue running on the server side even while that indicator shows offline. To verify, leave a scheduled workflow running and check the execution list afterward for any gaps.
If the indicator keeps reappearing every 5 minutes even on a brand new workflow the issue is likely browser-side. Check Chrome’s memory saver (which may be suspending the tab), aggressive extensions, or a proxy that terminates idle WebSockets. Open DevTools, go to the Network tab, filter by WS, and monitor exactly when the connection drops. Note that execution data pruning can help with editor sluggishness, but that’s a separate issue from the offline indicator
