N8n Meeting Summary Automation with https://vexa.ai/

:robot: Automated Meeting Summaries: Google Meet → AI → Slack

Built an n8n workflow that automatically joins Google Meet calls, transcribes conversations, and posts AI-generated summaries to Slack. Perfect for teams who want meeting notes without the manual work!

How it works:

  1. Calendar trigger detects when a Google Meet starts
  2. Bot joins meeting automatically via Vexa.ai API
  3. Transcription happens in real-time with speaker identification
  4. AI summarizes key points, action items, and outcomes
  5. Slack gets notified with a clean, formatted summary

What you need:

  • Google Calendar API access
  • Vexa.ai account (for meeting bot)
  • OpenAI API key (for summaries)
  • Slack bot token
  • 5 minutes to set up the workflow

Sample output in Slack:

📋 Meeting Summary
Duration: 3 minutes
Participants: John, Sarah

🎯 Key Points:
- Discussed Q4 budget planning
- Reviewed new hiring needs

📝 Action Items:
- Budget draft - John - Friday
- Interview schedule - Sarah - Next week

💡 Outcome:
Team aligned on Q4 priorities and next steps.

The whole thing runs hands-free once configured. No more “can someone take notes?” moments!
