N8N102 Section 1 FinalizePipeline returns “Missing required parameter: total_orders”

Hi n8n team,

I’m currently taking the N8N102: Integrations: APIs and Connected Workflows course.

I’m stuck at Section 1 – Workflow execution & logic (Hands-on Exercise). My current progress is 2/3:

  • Checkpoint 1: 1/1

  • Checkpoint 2: 1/1

  • Finalization Assessment: 0/1

The problem occurs in the FinalizePipeline HTTP Request node.

The node returns:

Your request is invalid or could not be processed by the service [item 0]

Missing required parameter: total_orders

I checked the workflow carefully. The request body is being evaluated correctly and the raw request shown in the browser Developer Console contains:

  • total_orders: 50

  • enterprise_count: 12

  • batch_size: 5

  • retry_enabled: true

The request is a POST request to the N8N102 /finalize endpoint, with the required Academy authentication and X-Assessment-ID header.

I am using a self-hosted n8n instance because my n8n Cloud trial has expired.

The important thing is that the first two assessments are already graded 1/1, so the Academy authentication and Assessment ID appear to be working correctly.

Could you please check whether there is an issue with the FinalizePipeline assessment endpoint or the assessment state for my account?

Please double check the types, total_orders must be a number.
