New n8n Template & Customisable Chat Widget

I’ve just launched our latest n8n template!

It’s an AI Agent configured to book appointments, checking your Outlook calendar for events to avoid conflicts. It also responds to queries and can hand off to a human via email when it can’t respond.

What makes this template different, isn’t actually the template, but what comes with it. I’ve developed a chat widget that you can add to your website right now (for free), resulting in a fully production-ready chatbot.

Unlike other chat widgets, you can fully customise this one to match your brand. Change the colours, add your logo, adjust the welcome message, and place it wherever you want on your site. Just follow along with my blog post and pay attention to the template script, replacing the placeholders with your own values.

The real win is having a chat widget that looks and feels like part of your website, not some generic third-party tool.

The n8n template is a good starting point, but of course, you can customise it to meet your needs, change the AI model, expand on it by adding a RAG solution for custom knowledge etc etc.

I’ve even included a “route” parameter in the script, so with some know how, you could route the conversation to a support team, a human, or anything else you can think of.

Check out the guide where you’ll find the link to the template and a walk-through: Create a Branded AI-Powered Website Chatbot with n8n

Hey! Thanks for publishing this, really cool!
Would you mind elaborating a bit on what differences to the n8n-chat-widget package are? Or can I find a description of customization options somewhere?
Thanks!

@Paul_Bogemann

I’ve outlined the customisation options for branding in the blog post.

They are mainly to make it easy for non-coders to style it in line with their brand.
