No problem here, just needed clarification about the assistant feature in the OpenAI node.

When we create an assistant we do so by providing a prompt, yet when I open the OpenAI assistant node I am presented with a prompt

is the prompt in the assistant node for extra instruction? we don’t have a choice to not enter the prompt, so that’s where the confusion comes in. I would imagine most people have their assistants set up to just throw data at it, the prompt in the node would just consume more, so it seems to be extra

Hey @djjace,

From what I could understand the prompt is an additional instruction to help the assistant, I think we may be making that clearer in the UI soon.

ah, gotcha. it’s kind of redundant. and the fact we HAVE to put something there makes me use the http request node instead lol
