In my mac local n8n setup for the “when chat message received” node, I don’t see the option to Make chat publicly available. Version 2.10.4. Please help.

Consider either restarting your n8n instance if that does not work, simply upgrade or downgrade to the nearest stable version.

Hey welcome! Try deleting that chat trigger node and adding a fresh one from the node panel instead of copying it. Thats usually what causes the toggle to go missing. If it still doesnt show up after that, let me know how you added it originally.

Thanks for the suggestions but I have added the node several times from the node panel and the toggle is never there. This is also creating trouble when I connect it to the AI agent node. When the chat node is run individually it works but when the whole workflow is run it passes nothing to the AI agent. I am trying create a simple RAG workflow.
Unfortunately, even after trying the above solutions the issue was not resolved.
