Passing multiple items to a Human-in-the-Loop node

Just to verify, because I couldn’t find this explicitly mentioned anywhere:
It doesn’t work to pass multiple items as input to a Human-in-the-Loop node, does it?

It fails in my tests and I assume it’s not possible because the responses would come in at different times and would trigger different executions, so basically branching out into sub-execution within one connected workflow which n8n doesn’t support/like.
