The idea is:
Enable users to paste copied nodes and automatically connect them to an existing node in the workflow, even if that node wasn’t part of the copied JSON.
My use case:
When reusing patterns or building modular workflows, I often copy a set of nodes (e.g., error handling or logging blocks) and need to rewire them to an existing trigger or input node. Currently, after pasting, I must manually reconnect each node, which is time-consuming and error-prone.
I think it would be beneficial to add this because:
This would streamline workflow building, especially in complex or modular designs. By specifying a “target” node for reconnection during paste, users could accelerate the integration of reusable logic blocks and maintain consistent architectures.
Any resources to support this?
n/a — this is a UX improvement based on internal usage patterns.
Are you willing to work on this?
Not directly, but happy to refine the concept or test a prototype.
