I wanted to come back and give you an update — my issue is now fully resolved! 
A huge thank you to each of you who took the time to help me. Your patience and detailed explanations made all the difference. I really appreciate the n8n community spirit.
For context, the solution was to set the WEBHOOK_URL environment variable to my ngrok URL before starting n8n, combined with using a static ngrok domain. Simple in the end, but I wouldn’t have figured it out without your help!
On another note — I’ve been building AI agents for businesses (WhatsApp automation, email automation, order management…) and I’m curious: are any of you also in this space? Would love to connect and exchange ideas with fellow builders , i would like to know if this rentable
